Just make something unusually consistent for a long enough period of time, and people systems will inevitably form around it, trying to follow it, to decode it, or to turn it into a belief system.
still, managing to get attention enough for people to discuss it 10 years after it passes is rare, when there is so much crap out there
Ah yes, true, I forgot to add "but also expect that in most cases nobody would notice and your entire production would be for nothing more than the experience of making whatever it is you're making" :D
